I've been pondering on Faith and Courage! How for me they can become entwined and almost merge into one meaning. So it's funny that you mention RISK... Faith does involve risks, being taken out of comfort zones, taking leaps of faith into the unknown (well our unknown, God already knows the end from the beginning) but being prepared to do it frightened if need be, get it wrong, feel embarrassed or inadequate, going into places or situations that are unfamilar... I've had a few of those recently, I can tell you!!! Eeekkk, some i'm still having to process. But how do we know if we are faithfilled if we don't get the oppurtunity to test it out and walk in it? I love Rich Haywards testimony, how He sometimes has to step out in Faith before he hears the Word of God. That's a man of courage...Try it sometime.

Faith involves 'the bigger picture', maybe unseen, but not unsure. We have a living hope...JESUS...
I love Heb 11: 33-34 Who through faith conqured Kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; THOSE WEAKNESS WAS TURNED TO STRENGTH' and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies... The list goes on, these people showed amazing courage and steadfast Faith and God used the process to perfect them... Not because he's mean like that but because He know's the potential that lies within each one of us to be more then we ever thought possible, we can do all things through him who strengthens us... Yaaaa :)

I was thinking about this yesterday, that I had the mind of Christ but also mine and being double minded and such. I was thinking about it whilst washing up, the cup had some tea in it and as the water poured into the cup the tea was diluted until it was clean water and I felt like God said that this is a picture of what happens to us as we let the Holy Spirit wash our thoughts.

Intentional abiding and receiving, through Faith... I like that! Yes we certainly need to be intentional towards our relationship with our Father, and what he has already given us. I wonder how many gifts/blessings are just sitting in heaven waiting to be used? Can you imagine what our lives would look like if we realised what it truly means to be blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ! You'd have out and out freedom breaking out all over the place! Father open our eyes to see just what you have given us and what awaits us in the heavenly realms, so we can release them on earth.

Faith grows in us by hearing/reading the word of God, and if we speak in faith God opens a door for blessings to come upon us. Faith is the key that opens the door. We can increase our faith by reading and trusting the word of God. I want to thank you for the words of faith that you spoke upon us in Babadag-Romania. It was a blessing and an encouragement for us. Be blessed!
Paul.

I'm assuming you're ok with comments on you blog: great to read it!

You wrote: Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”

I've been looking at Ephesians 3:20 which says about God being able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine....God wants us to see more and more with the eyes of faith, to imagine and picture what he can do. Like you're saying; looking at things through God's eyes, how He sees it, not how we see in the natural.
